LEGAL / SMS ADDENDUM

Legal

SMS Addendum

Last updated: October 15, 2026

The short version

  • This addendum is what you personally sign to text with your assigned Digital Worker — it supplements the Terms of Service, specifically §9.
  • Signing authorizes your phone number only. Nobody else's number is enabled by your organization's engagement agreement.
  • Reply STOP anytime to opt out. Message and data rates may apply.

1. What this addendum covers

This SMS Addendum governs text-message communication between you and your assigned Digital Worker. It supplements, and is incorporated into, CPP's Terms of Service (see §9, "SMS / text messaging service"). Where this addendum and the Terms of Service address the same topic, the more specific terms here control for the texting channel.

2. Who this addendum authorizes

Signing this addendum authorizes one phone number: yours. Your organization's broader engagement agreement with CPP does not, by itself, authorize any individual's number — each person who wants to text with a Digital Worker signs this addendum themselves, under their own name and their own number.

3. What you're consenting to

By signing, you consent to receive text messages from your assigned Digital Worker at the phone number you provide. This is an interactive, one-to-one channel between you and your Digital Worker, not a broadcast or marketing list. Message frequency varies based on your work with your Digital Worker — there is no fixed schedule.

You sign this addendum by pressing Approve on the SMS card in CPP's onboarding workflow (currently Slack). CPP records the date and time, your Slack identity, and the version of this addendum you signed. If this addendum changes materially, you will be asked to sign again.

4. Rates and charges

Message and data rates may apply per your mobile carrier plan. CPP does not charge separately for this service; any charges come from your own carrier.

5. Opting out

Reply STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, STOPALL, REVOKE, or OPTOUT at any time to stop receiving texts from your Digital Worker. We honor this within the timeframe required by law. Opting out ends only the texting channel — it does not affect your organization's broader engagement with CPP. To resume, re-sign this addendum or contact us.

6. Help

Reply HELP or contact shea@covingtonplacepartners.com for support.

7. How your data is handled

Phone numbers and message content collected through this service are used only to route your messages to your assigned Digital Worker, maintain the list of numbers authorized to use the service, and provide support. This data is never used for marketing, and we do not sell it. Full detail, including retention, is in the Privacy Policy under "SMS and phone data."

8. Changes

We may update this addendum as the service evolves. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date above, and a material change requires you to re-sign before your number continues to work with the service.
