Digital Worker Capabilities
Last updated: October 15, 2026
The short version
- Capabilities are granted one at a time, per connected account. Nothing below is granted by default — the permissions screen you see when you connect an account states exactly what you're granting.
- Anything not granted, your Digital Worker cannot do.
- Reading, drafting, and your Digital Worker's own task list never need your click. Anything that affects another person or changes your data does, every time.
This page supplements the Terms of Service (see "The Digital Worker service"). CPP extends this list as new capabilities and connected providers ship, without needing to rewrite the Terms themselves — this is the current, authoritative list.
| Capability | What it allows | Needs your click? |
|---|---|---|
| Read mail | View message content, so your Digital Worker can answer questions involving your inbox. | No |
| Draft or send mail | Compose email on request. Drafting alone needs no click; sending it does. | Yes — to send |
| Read calendar | View your schedule, so your Digital Worker can answer questions about it. | No |
| Change calendar | Creates or reschedules calendar items. Moving an event that has other attendees can email them the new time. | Yes |
| Create or edit files | Create new files or edit existing ones you've asked your Digital Worker to work with. | Yes |
| Manage tasks | Create and update items on your Digital Worker's own dedicated task list. | No |
| Manage contacts | Read your contacts, and save new ones on request. | Yes — to save |
| Connected business systems (advertising and analytics platforms, databases, code repositories, and similar — added as CPP supports them) | Depends entirely on the specific system and what's granted — reading a report or querying a database, versus spending budget, publishing a change, or deploying code. Each new kind of system gets its own row here, with its own click rules, before any engagement uses it. | Yes — for anything that spends, publishes, deploys, or modifies data. No — for read-only access. |
Which of these are available to a given Digital Worker depends on which provider it's connected to (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and others as CPP adds support) and which specific capabilities that account's owner granted at connection. Exactly what's accessed per provider is in the Privacy Policy.
